Cowboy Action Shooting combines the excitement of competition with the fun of the Old West. Shooters use period-style revolvers, lever-action rifles and shotguns while competing through entertaining Western-themed stages.
You don't have to be a cowboy.

And you don't have to own all the equipment to get started.

WHAT IS COWBOY ACTION SHOOTING?
It's part competition, part history, and a whole lot of fun.
You'll shoot a series of stages based around Old West scenarios. Each stage combines speed, accuracy and safe gun handling.
At Hooten Old Town, you'll meet folks who love the Old West, enjoy a little friendly competition, and aren't afraid to have a good time.
At Hooten Old Town, we're all about safety, camaraderie and having a good time while enjoying the traditions of the Old West.

Don't go out and buy a bunch of guns and gear first.
That's one of the things that makes getting started easier than you might think. Experienced Cowboy Action shooters frequently help newcomers with information, equipment and advice.
We'll help you figure out what you need.
